Training Site Requirements

What to Know

Prior to attending a Liferay Private Classroom training, we encourage students to complete the corresponding Learning Path available on Liferay Learn. Classroom training complements our online courses but does not replace them.

By familiarizing yourself with the content before attending, we can use the training time to move at a faster pace and focus on more complex aspects of the Learning Path. Additionally, preparing beforehand will equip you to ask more meaningful questions and take advantage of discussions led by Liferay experts.

Prerequisites

To ensure there is sufficient time to cover all course content, you must complete the prerequisites before the first day of training. Please see the Classroom Training Prerequisites for a full list of required software and setup steps.

Venue/Location

Classroom training will be delivered at the customer’s location or a location of the customer’s choosing. The location must be agreed upon before the classroom training is scheduled.

The customer is responsible for providing the venue, internet connection for attendees and trainers, a projector, screens, notebooks, electricity, extension cords, and any other equipment required.

The maximum number of participants is 20 students.

The customer is free to record and/or stream the session for employees that can't be present for the training. The cost, equipment, and logistics needed for recording and streaming are the customer’s responsibility. The recordings and any additional material is limited to the customer’s internal use and cannot be publicly posted or shared with any other company.

IT Department Checklist

Attendees need access to install the required software and need the ability to create and modify environment variables. In some cases, this may require local administrative access.

IT personnel should be available to temporarily turn off or disable antivirus software or firewall software.

Training Hours

Regular daily training hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm. If necessary, we can discuss possible exceptions to these hours.
